02 / People & motives

A face is not a faction.

You receive two separate secrets: who you are, and whom you serve. A familiar name is never proof of loyalty.

Allegiance dossier

Baker Street

What wins

Build four blue intelligence in any current Baker Street member’s dossier.

How to play it

Send useful evidence to an ally. Remove red intelligence that blocks their four slots.

What remains hidden

Your allegiance stays private until a rule reveals it. A familiar character does not establish who you serve.

Six seats begin as 2 Baker Street, 2 Moriarty, 2 Fleet Street. Fleet Street can change that balance. Four blue cards only qualify on a current Baker Street member; four red only on a current Moriarty member.

A permanent choice

Fleet Street may join as its action. Count your dossier: more blue permits Baker Street, more red permits Moriarty, and a tie permits either. While still unaligned, once per game you may instead reveal your Fleet Street allegiance and use Press Leak to discard one intelligence from any dossier. Joining forfeits an unused Press Leak.

The Final Edition resolves all remaining choices together before a verdict. An unaligned Fleet Street player cannot share an early victory.
